Dumpster Fire Insurance
Our Fire Insurance add-on is designed to protect you from the high cost of fire-related damage during your dumpster rental. For a flat rate add-on, this coverage helps reduce your financial liability if a fire occurs inside or around the dumpster during your rental period.
This protection applies only to the customer who rented the dumpster.

What Is Covered
Fire Insurance is intended to cover minor, non-structural fire damage resulting from accidental fires during normal use.
Interior Fire Damage: Light burn damage that does not compromise structure
Exterior Heat Exposure: Light discoloration or surface scorching only, no warping or deformation
Minor Structural Impact: Limited damage that can be repaired without replacement
Cleanup and Repair: Basic labor and materials to restore usable condition
What Is NOT Covered
The following fire-related situations are not covered and remain the responsibility of the customer.
Heat Warping or Metal Deformation: Any bending, distortion, or structural weakening
Intentional Burning: Any deliberate ignition or misuse
Prohibited Materials: Hazardous, flammable, or restricted items
Accelerants: Gasoline, chemicals, or other fire-starting agents
Total Loss: Damage that renders the dumpster unusable
Third-Party Damage: Arson, vandalism, or unauthorized use
Improper Disposal: Hot ashes, coals, or industrial waste
Repair Costs for Non-Covered Fire Damage
If fire damage occurs that is not covered and does not result in a total loss, repair costs will be based on severity, heat exposure, and structural impact.
Heat Warping Repair: $500 – $1,500
Burned Panel Replacement: $1,000 – $2,000+
Floor Burn Through Repair: $1,200 – $2,500+
Full Interior Restoration: $1,500 – $3,500+
Repainting / Surface Restoration: $500 – $1,200
If the dumpster is deemed a total loss due to fire damage, full replacement charges will apply based on the dumpster size.

Customer Responsibility
The renter is fully responsible for preventing fire hazards and ensuring that no prohibited or flammable materials are placed in the dumpster. This includes responsibility for actions taken by others while the dumpster is on site.
Improper disposal of hot materials, chemicals, or flammable debris can result in severe damage and full replacement costs.
When Fire Insurance Makes Sense
Fire Insurance is strongly recommended for projects that involve materials or environments where fire risk is increased.
- Roofing jobs with hot materials
- Construction or demolition projects
- Sites with electrical or mechanical work
- Areas with public access or unknown dumping activity
